Yoga – rhythmic breathing and the science behind it….

Stumbled upon a video by Dr. Alan Watkins. Dr. Watkins is a  physician and neuro-scientist, who has been a coach and confidant to many top CEOs and business leader for more than 15 years.

In this 30 min long video, he talks about how our brain waves function/react to rhythmic breathing techniques.  Quite interesting considering , its the same benefits that Pranayama and  other breathing techniques in Yoga claim.

Pranayama techniques are beneficial in treating a range of stress-related disorders, asthama, liver and other range of diseases.Constant practice of yoga combined with ayurveda treatment can heal a lot of chronic ailments.
